Information Security Engineer

The Information Security Engineer will be responsible for managing the data integrity of taxpayers and ensuring the protection of client-sensitive information at all times. This will be achieved by optimizing technological infrastructures and aligning IT initiatives with business objectives. The Security Engineer will be responsible for building, maintaining, and upgrading security technologies, such as firewalls, for the safe use of computer networks and the transmission and retrieval of information.

Responsibilities:

• Configuration and maintenance of firewalls and security solutions.
• Development of backup and disaster recovery policies.
• Implementation of system monitoring and alerts.
• Computer security service management.
• Development of contingency and disaster recovery plans.
• Analyze and determine improvements to the wired and wireless infrastructure, addressing schemes, services, ports, and communication protocols implemented on each server.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of information security procedures and policies.
• Design and implement appropriate security controls to identify vulnerabilities and protect digital files and electronic infrastructures.
• Monitor and respond to computer security breaches, viruses, and intrusions, and perform forensic investigations.

Required Technologies and Tools

• Software:
  • Windows 2012 Server and later (Installation and Configuration).
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Server.
  • Linux (Proxy, Samba, Firewall, MailServer, Security).
  • Exchange 2016 (Installation, Configuration, and Administration).
  • Citrix XenServer 6.2 – Virtualization Servers.
  • VMware Esxi 6.7 – Virtualization Servers.
  • Citrix XenAPP 6.5 – Virtualization Applications.
  • Google Workspace.
  • Google Cloud Platform.
  • Veeam Backup – Backups and Replication.
• Certifications:
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.

The position is located in Hollywood, Florida.
